Building Sustainable Solutions

Social Entrepreneurship

CAFU focuses on a social business model to supplement funding sources and mitigate risks of revenue shortfalls by utilising business profits towards achieving organisation objectives. We have reviewed a series of prospective lucrative business ventures which include:

Real Estate Investment

Investing in real estate in Uganda is a very lucrative opportunity for investors seeking to diversify their portfolio. The real estate business in Uganda is rapidly growing and expected to continue growing in the foreseeable future. The increased demand due to high population, government support, favourable investment climate, and high rate of return on investment (10%) presents a great opportunity to investors seeking to diversify their portfolio and gain a return on investment.

This can be done through buying and selling of properties and acquisition of properties for renting. Either way, the returns, security of investment, ease of monitoring and social entrepreneurial gains are exciting.

Programs vs Sustainability & Social Enterprise

CAFU's charitable Programs (Education, Health, Vocational Skills and Community Sensitization) are funded by donations and never generate a financial return. The social enterprise ventures above are a separate, commercial layer: any profits they generate are reinvested to supplement CAFU's funding and strengthen the long-term sustainability of its charitable work. Supporting one does not mean donating to the other.
